Multi-emergency service response to serious medical emergency on construction site in Newbury
There has been an incident on a residential road near Newbury Racecourse.
Emergency services were called to a property off Teeton Mill Place.
Two ambulances, police officers and a fire engine were at the scene this afternoon (Wednesday).
South Central Ambulance Service said it was a serious medical emergency on the construction site.
A spokesperson said: “This was a serious medical emergency on the construction site where we required the assistance of both the fire and rescue and police services due to the location of the patient and nature of the incident.”
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance confirmed that an air ambulance was dispatched at 12.47pm.
Its Critical Care Team of two doctors and a specialist paramedic provided medical treatment to a patient who was conveyed by road to hospital.
The air ambulance team did not travel with the patient to hospital.
Police officers surrounded a building which is currently under construction.
Thames Valley Police said it can’t comment.
