Reading Magistrates' Court: Burghfield Common mum back in dock over child's truancy at The Willink School

A MOTHER has admitted continuing to fail to ensure her child's regular attendance at school, despite a previous conviction.

Samantha Holmes appeared at Reading Magistrates' Court on Friday, November 19, where she admitted knowing her child was not attending The Willink School in Burghfield Common regularly and failing, without reasonable justification, to cause her to do so between Monday, March 8 and Tuesday, July 20.

Thirty-three-year-old Ms Holmes, of Three Firs Way, Burghfield Common, further admitted that her latest conviction meant she was in breach of a conditional discharge imposed by the same court last November for two similar offences.

Magistrates ordered pre-sentence reports to be prepared and Ms Holmes was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
