Murder trial latest in this week's Newbury Weekly News
In this week's Newbury Weekly News, stories from those involved are given full coverage across the pages as we bring you the latest from Reading Crown Court.
Joshua Anderson, aged 22, Mathew Anderson, aged 20, and Dean Robinson, aged 32, of Thatcham, deny the murder of Darren Lock (right) and the attempted murder of his friend Daniel Black (left) on March 16 this year.
Read how Mr Black recounted the attack in which he was stabbed in the chest, armpits and eye – permanently losing sight in it, as three men set upon him and Mr Lock with knives inside Mr Lock's flat in Bramble Court.
Barristers defending the trio claim the story is a fabrication borne of Mr Black's guilt at the death of his friend Mr Lock, which he caused by starting the violence to gain revenge in a family feud between he and his brothers and sisters and the Andersons.
Also testifying was his sister Leanne Black and her friend, who told how the Anderson brothers threatened her and said they would kill every member of her family, earlier that same day.
