The group, called Young Enough, recorded and filmed a video for their song 'England Expects' and have now posted it on video sharing website, YouTube.
As of yesterday (Friday) it had been viewed more than 5,000 times.
The group is made up of singer Mark Davies, bass guitarist, Andy Hall, drummer, Jamie Lillycrop and guitarist, Stephen Rowe.
They were also joined in the video by Mr Davies's younger brother, Luke Davies, who has been described as The Happy Mondays, Bez, of the group because of his flag waving and dancing antics in the video.
All bar Luke Davies and Mr Rowe are members of local band Debt Brigade.
Mark Davies said: "It [the video] has already done more than I was hoping for; it was just a bit of fun.
"The longer England stay in the better it is for us.
"As soon as England go out nobody is going to care about the video.
"So even more so we are pinning our hopes on the team.
