The 36th international Newbury Spring Festival opens this weekend with the English Chamber Orchestra at St Nic's Church and The Big Chris Barber Band at the Corn Exchange, heralding a glorious two weeks of choral & orchestral music, chamber music & recitals, jazz, world & folk music, cabaret, opera & dance, plus film and the spoken word - all on our own doorstep.
