My Newbury: A warning over nesting birds

This My Newbury picture of a blackbird nesting was taken by Tania Fisher.

Tania says: “I nearly cut through this beautiful blackbird’s nest and her eggs while hedgecutting.

“Luckily she flew out to warn me, and her nest and four beautiful blue eggs are intact.

“Please do not cut hedges in nesting season and remember our wildlife is out there.

“I hope I will be able to get some good shots of the baby birds when they hatch.”
