My Newbury in pictures

Several readers have sent in 'My Newbury' photo submissions of local scenes this week

IMAGES of the Full Royal train as it passed through Newbury last Friday (3) and pictures of local historic sights were captured by West Berkshire's amateur photographers for this week's ‘My Newbury' selection.

Newbury resident Leigh McAlpine snapped some great shots of Donnington Castle, the Monkey Bridge in Newbury and various misty scenes in Donnington, while Aldermaston man David Canning photographed the Full Royal train passing through Newbury as well as local scenes at Ecchinswell and Wasing.

Animals have also featured in this week's selection, with submissions from Richard Parker-Johnson and Trudy Smith capturing birds, swans and ducks enjoying themselves in their natural habitats.
