My Newbury in pictures
Animals enjoying the West Berkshire countryside feature in this week's My Newbury submissions
ANIMALS enjoying the West Berkshire countryside is a recurring theme in this week's My Newbury submissions.
Newbury man Brian Pearsey has sent in a photo of a hornet he found in his garden recently, while Richard Parker-Johnson has also recently spotted animals in his garden, including a squirrel feasting at a bird box.
NWN photographer Phil Cannings has also snapped some pigs enjoying the countryside in Bucklebury, while TC Stratton, of Wash Common, has sent in several pictures of the West Berkshire countryside, including a snap of the view along the river behind Speen Church, a cow in a field near the old railway line and a view of Newbury taken from Skinners Green.
Elsewhere, Kim Rayner caught the Oliver Cromwell steam train on camera as it passed through Hungerford on Saturday (June 18).
If you have photos you want to share, send them in to newburytoday@newburynews.co.uk marked ‘My Newbury' and we will feature them here online or in our sister papers, the Newbury Weekly News or The Advertiser.
