Jenny Evans captured the straw bales near Chaddleworth “just as that wonderful evening light with long shadows was starting to fade” She added: “[It is] one of the pleasures of driving the West Berkshire countryside as part of my work.”
Ria and Daniel Toms submitted various summery shots, the best one being a butterfly on a buddleia.
While at the Classic Car Show at The Racecourse Newbury at the weekend, Newbury resident Barry Stone took some arty snaps of the vehicles.
On Thursday, tweeter @linz31 took a photograph of an early-morning Northcroft Lido. With only five fellow swimmers in the pool at 8am, she described the the pool temperature as “like slipping into a warm bath”.
And finally, Newbury Weekly News journalist Rachel Horner captured the moment a hot air balloon made a dramatic landing in Victoria Park last week.
