West Berkshire Council is proposing to give new names to two Newbury town centre car parks
TWO Newbury town centre car parks could be given new names under plans from West Berkshire Council.
The district council recently proposed an amendment to an existing order to improve signage of some town centre car parks, which would see ‘Corn Exchange car park' put on directional signs rather than ‘Bear Lane', with the northern section of the ‘Central car park' that adjoins the library becoming signed as ‘Library'.
The council said the changes would more accurately reflect the location of the car parks, although no implementation date has yet been set.
