Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust Nature Discovery Centre in Thatcham is getting wild for nature

The Nature Discovery Centre in Thatcham is doing one ‘wild thing’ each day this month for nature.

The Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust’s 30 Days Wild project takes place every June across the country.

It encourages people to do one wild thing every day whether it be building a bug hotel, going for a walk outdoors in nature, or simply listening to the birds singing.

Participants can order a free activity pack which contains activities games and packets of wildflower seeds to sow.

Nature Discovery Centre assistant manager Hazel Fell said: “Being in nature significantly improves mental health and wellbeing and encourages people to feel a closer connection to nature.

“That’s why we want everyone to take part, join #30DaysWild and do something for nature.”

The link to sign up can be found on the Wildlife Trust website https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/30-days-wild

The organisation also offers resources for schools, care homes and businesses.
