Nature Discovery Centre Thatcham open as normal following police incident

The Nature Discovery Centre in Lower Way, Thatcham, has reopened after closing for the day due to police activity.

The wildlife centre was shut yesterday (Thursday) after a body was discovered in the grounds.

The shop and café are now open again today (Friday) from 10am to 5pm as usual and the car parks have also fully reopened.

The centre had to close yesterday, Thursday, September 16, after the body of a man in his 30s was discovered there after officers were called to a fear for welfare report just after 4.30am.

In a statement the police said the man's death was "being treated as unexplained but not suspicious, and his next of kin has been informed".

The Nature Discovery Centre is run by the Berkshire Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust.
