New bakery boasting homemade sweet treats opens in Newbury Parkway
A bakery chain has moved into Newbury town centre.
Muffin Break, known for its freshly baked treats and handcrafted coffee, celebrated the opening of its 72nd branch in Newbury Parkway today (Thursday).
Franchisee Bilal Haidar first eyed the unit six months ago and has invested £290,000 in getting the store up and running.
Franchise development executive at Foodco UK Mike Johnson said of the opening: “We’re thrilled to bring Muffin Break to Newbury, a town with a strong community feel and a thriving high street.
“With Bilal Haidar and a skilled team in place, we’re confident the Newbury store will soon establish itself as a local favourite for freshly prepared food and expertly brewed coffee.”
The bakery serves a wide range of sweet and savoury treats made fresh daily, alongside coffee sourced from premium Arabica beans.
The store is open from 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday, and from 10am to 4.30pm on Sundays.
Muffin Break is part of the Foodco Group, which also owns sister brand Jamaica Blue. Both brands continue to grow across the UK.
