New council service brings light relief

As the evenings draw in and it starts to go dark earlier, street lights which are not working may become more obvious.
Faulty street lights – along with other problems, such as fly tipping and faulty playground equipment – can be notified to West Berkshire Council with a few clicks of a computer mouse, via the new problem reporting area of the council’s website.
Executive councillor, Roger Croft (Con Thatcham South and Crookham) said: “This welcome new addition to the West Berkshire Council’s website will mean that the residents in the district can notify us of any problems as soon as they arise.”
