New date set to find new firefighters

The event was due to have taken place last Sunday at Newbury Fire Station but was postponed by fire service after last week’s Hungerford edition of the Newbury Weekly News went to press.
It has now been scheduled for between 10.30am and 1pm on Sunday (28).
Newbury watch manager Pete Atkins said: “We’re particularly keen to encourage people from the Hungerford and Lambourn areas to become part time, or retained, firefighters."
