New dates for Swan roundabout resurfacing

The work was scheduled earlier this month, but West Berkshire Council spokeswoman Peta Stoddart-Crompton said it was cancelled owing to the forecast for heavy rain showers when the work was scheduled.
The proposed dates are now June, 13, 14 and 15.
Ms Stoddart-Crompton said: “The council’s recycling centre will be open as normal during the works.
“Traffic travelling southbound down to the Swan roundabout to access the site will be directed towards Basingstoke and the next roundabout on the A339, where they can turn around and travel back towards Newbury. Delays are to be expected.”
