New faces at The Cottage Inn

Gary and Mandy Bush have taken over behind the bar at the Upper Bucklebury pub

TWO new faces will be seen behind the bar at the Cottage Inn in Upper Bucklebury.

Gary and Mandy Bush, aged 53 and 48, took over the pub in December after returning to the UK following seven years living in Spain.

The pair, who have never run a pub before, are hoping to turn it into a traditional pub with traditional food.

Mr Bush said that taking over the pub would not have been possible without the support he had received from friends and family, in particular Peter Frost and Charlie Jury.

He said: "It's been absolutely brilliant.

"We are really feeling at home.

"The locals have been absolutely fantastic, they have been so supportive from day one."

Mr Bush said that he was now looking forward to celebrating the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, whose family live in the village, with a celebratory fun day at the pub.
