New footpath to be built in Woolton Hill

A paved footway is being introduced in Woolton Hill to provide an extra pedestrian connection in the village.

The housing development Meadowbrook has brought a significant increase of foot traffic to the Greenways junction along Tile Barn Row, which itself has also become busier with vehicle traffic.

Planned work, which begins next week, will introduce a culvert for the current ditch on Tile Barn Row to allow for the provision of a pedestrian pavement alongside this stretch of road.

The work is expected to begin on Monday or Tuesday, and it will likely involve stop and go traffic control.
