New gatehouse approved for Beale Wildlife Park




West Berkshire Council has approved to construction of a new timber gatehouse at Beale Wildlife Park.

The new entrance booth aims to create a working space for two people, a refreshments area, storage area, toilet and provision to serve customers arriving in cars on either side of the building.

It would be built on existing hardstanding at a junction between the car park and road leading further into the park, situated between Pangbourne and Lower Basildon.

The applicant said the proposed gatehouse will avoid creating any detrimental aesthetic impact to the conservation area and local heritage asset.
