A new Japanese restaurant will be offering free sushi as well as chicken katsu curry for just £1 when it opens in Newbury next month.
Iro Sushi will be opening a new restaurant at 3 Brook House in 60-62 Northbrook Street, the former premises of the Scope charity shop, on Saturday, February 8.
There will be a special grand opening celebration event running from noon to 2pm on the day where the restaurant will be offering customers free sushi, chicken katsu curry for £1 a portion and 25 per cent off the entire menu.
The chain of Japanese eateries has branches across the South of England, mainly in London.
Iro Sushi currently operates a restaurant in Friar Street in Reading.
As well as being able to dine inside within the restaurant’s “cozy atmosphere”, Iro will also be offering delivery and takeaway for its “authentic flavours”.
An Iro Sushi spokesperson said: “We are delighted to announce the grand opening of Iro Sushi’s newest branch in the heart of Newbury.
“This marks a thrilling step forward in our mission to bring fresh, authentic sushi and Japanese cuisine to more communities.
“Whether you’re a long-time sushi enthusiast or new to the world of Japanese flavours, we can’t wait to welcome you to our newest location.”
Iro’s menu consists of Japanese classics such as gyoza, miso soup, poke bowls, ramen, curries, fried noodles and bubble tea, as well as all varieties of sushi, nigiri and sashimi.
