West Berkshire Council planners consider new Kintbury home proposal

PLANNERS are considering a proposal to build a new home in Kintbury.

The existing building, Windward on the High Street, is said by the applicant to be currently unoccupied and in a dilapidated condition.

A design and access statement prepared on their behalf states: "The application proposal is for a full replacement dwelling which will provide accommodation for the applicant, together with annexe accommodation for two carers.

"The resulting home will be exemplary in all respects; fully inclusive and accessible, of high-quality architectural design that is sympathetic to the local character, and designed to be net zero carbon."
