Thatcham Town Council elects new mayoral team




Thatcham Town Council has elected a new mayoral team.

Councillor Petra Pemberton (Lib Dem, Thatcham Central) has been elected as the new Mayor of Thatcham for 2025/26, with councillor Justin Pemberton (Lib Dem, Thatcham West) as her consort.

She took over the role from councillor Suzanne Adamantos (Lib Dem, Thatcham West) at a Mayor Making ceremony held in the town council chambers yesterday (Sunday).

Her chosen charities for her civic year are Home-Start West Berkshire (based in Newbury), Bridge for Young People (based at Greenham Business Park) and Swings and Smiles (based in Thatcham).

Councillor Mark Lillycrop (Lib Dem, Thatcham West) will serve as deputy mayor, with Jenny Lillycrop as his consort.

Invitations will be dealt with on a first come basis and the mayor will strive to accommodate where possible.
