New Newbury club promises entertainment for whole family
A new bar, bistro and social club has opened in Newbury, offering facilities, refreshment and entertainment for the whole family.
The Club, which bills itself as "Newbury's best kept secret", is located on the premises of the Newbury Conservative Club in Cheap Street.
Membership is not required to attend many events, although it does allow for cheaper drinks and access to exclusive functions, including regular soul nights.
The venue is hosting regular quiz evenings, as well as performances by musicians, tribute acts and entertainers.
On behalf of The Club, member Kathy Jones said: "There's something going on most Saturdays – there's bingo once a month, and we might do that more regularly.
"We're trying to make it more family-oriented. We're going to be doing a Hallowe'en evening, which will be fantastic."
The building is owned by the Association of Conservative Clubs but The Club is independently managed.
