New takeaway and flats approved in Theale High Street

West Berkshire Council has approved plans for a new takeaway and flats in Theale High Street.

The proposal, submitted by TA Fisher & Sons Ltd, sought to convert empty ground floor offices at Crown House, 1A High Street, into a takeaway.

The proposal also includes three one-bed studio flats on the first floor and one two-bed flat on the second floor, within the roof space.

Customer access would be directly from the High Street, with a separate access round the back for employees and deliveries.

These would be accessed from the existing staircase at the back of the building.

Three car parking spaces will be removed, leaving a total of 10, and storage for six bicycles would be added.
