Azuza, which was established as an independent business in 2004, also has two other sites - one in Marlborough, Wiltshire, and one in Bristol, Avon.
The Hungerford branch has been bought by a consortium of local people - John Willmott and his wife Rafia, Mark Kimchi and Samreena Shah.
It will be closed while the building is completely refurbished to make way for the new venture, to be known as Evelyn, in April.
Mr Willmott said: “We’re going to be opening a cafe-cum-eaterie - but one with a difference. We don’t want to give too much away at the moment.
“We want everyone to anticipate a new concept in food.”
