New vet practice coming to Greenham Business Park
A new independent veterinary practice will open in a brand new building on Greenham Business Park early next year.
Greenham Trust, the owner of the business park, has announced an agreement with The Berkshire Vet to develop a new two-storey, 7,000 sq ft building in a “prominent location” on the park that will contain the practice.
The Berkshire Vet will open with an “experienced five vet team” and will provide Newbury and the surrounding local area with small animal veterinary care including in-house, 24/7, out of hours provision and inpatient facilities.
A spokesperson from The Berkshire Vet said: “We are passionately independent and believe a practice should play an active role within the community it serves; this made working alongside Greenham Trust the natural choice for us in the Newbury area.
“We look forward to what the future holds for this partnership as we work together to provide outstanding veterinary care to the people and pets of Berkshire.”
Greenham Trust has stated that it aims to complete construction of the new building and open the practice by February 2024.
Chief executive Chris Boulton said: “We are delighted to be able to welcome The Berkshire Vet to a brand-new building on the business park.
“The opening of a veterinary practice enhances the range of amenities we offer our existing tenants and will undoubtedly draw new visitors to the park.
“In addition, it fulfils our strategy of charitable giving through the surplus income created by our property assets.
“This latest agreement follows an exciting period of new development on the business park for premium local businesses including Sovereign Housing association, James Cowper Kreston, Roc Technologies and Total Rail Solutions.”
