Newbury and Greenham men released on bail following drugs raids





More than 90 officers executed the warrants under The Misuse of Drugs Act at nine addresses across the district, as part of an investigation known as Operation Fare to clampdown on the supply of the class B drug known as M-Kat or Meow Meow (Mephedrone).
Warrants were executed at properties in the following locations:
. Kennet Place, Newbury
. Three addresses in Pigeons Farm Road, Greenham
. Pritchard Close, Greenham
. Hill Close, Newbury
. Wormersley Road, Greenham
. Cresswell Road, Newbury.
. The Haywards, Thatcham.
Seven men were arrested on various drugs offences and have now been released on police bail until April 27 and 28.
A 21-year-old from Newbury was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled class B drug and possession with intent to supply it.
An 18-year-old from Greenham was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled class B drug.
A 21-year-old from Greenham was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled class B drug and possession with intent to supply a controlled class A drug.
A 19-year-old from Greenham was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply a controlled class B drug, possession with intent to supply a controlled class A drug, possession with intent to supply a controlled class B drug, and possession of a class B drug.
An 18-year-old from Newbury was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of class B, being concerned in the supply of ecstacy, offer to supply a class A drug, and offer to supply a controlled drug of class B.
A 21-year-old from Newbury was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of class B, and offer to supply a controlled drug of class B.
An 18-year-old from Greenham was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug of class B.
