Newbury awareness day for child sexual exploitation
The force says that the crime can affect any child, anytime, anywhere, regardless of their social or ethnic background and is asking for people's help to protect young people.
The awareness day will let people know more about the crime, what signs to look out for; or for people who have concerns about a young person; to come and visit the police and their safety partners at the stand near to Boswells Coffee Shop in the Kennet Centre.
The event will be held on Friday, January 23 between 11.30am and 3.30pm.
People who cannot attend and have concerns for a young person should call 101 and ask to speak to the local child sexual exploitation team, or if it is urgent dial 999.
