Newbury businesses to discuss investment plans
Businesses invited to discuss plans on Wednesday to turn town into Business Improvement District
NEWBURY'S business will discuss the town's Business Improvement District (BID) draft business plan, which promises over £1m investment for new projects and festivals in the town, at a meeting later this week.
If a BID is adopted by town centre businesses each business within the area will pay a one per cent levy based on the rateable value of the size of their business, generating an estimated £1,060,000 over a five year period.
Businesses are invited to discuss the business plan at a meeting at The Dolphin Hotel in Bartholomew Street, Newbury, on Wednesday (January 11) between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
To confirm your place at the meeting contact BID Coordinator, Caroline Paus, on 01635 760309 or email caroline.paus@newburybid.com
