Newbury canal wharf pub alleged assault
Police seek information on incident early Saturday am
Police have appealed for information after an alleged assault by door staff outside a pub in Newbury's canal wharf on Saturday (March 28).
According to Thames Valley Police (TVP), the incident took place at about 12.15am outside Document House, in Wharf Street.
A verbal altercation took place between a member of the public and door staff, during which an off duty member of door staff allegedly assaulted a member of the public.
A 23-year-old man suffered a red mark to the left side of his neck. He did not require hospital treatment.
The other man involved in the incident was white, in his early forties, about 5ft 8ins, medium build, with receding dark hair.
