Newbury car park closures

Shoppers will have to find alternative parking as car parks are closed for line painting

SHOPPERS in Newbury face disruption as seven car parks are to be closed tomorrow (Sunday).

Fresh white line painting will take place in The Wharf pay and display, Central Library, Pelican Lane, Northcroft Lane, West Street, Market Street pay and display, and Eight Bells.

West Berkshire Council spokesman Phil Spray said: “The paint dries instantly so each car park will be re-opened immediately the work is completed.

“There is plenty of other parking available in Newbury with the Kennet Centre and Northbrook Multi-storey Car Parks open as usual.”
