Newbury Christmas lights switch on line-up includes Lambourn and Woolton Hill teenage songstresses





Singer/songwriters, Emma Lawrence, aged 17, of Woolton Hill, and Jenny Bracey, aged 18, of Lambourn - both well known local performers - are among the line up of entertainment throughout the afternoon at the Market Place event, organised by Newbury BID.
The performances will be followed by a parade from Market Street, prior to the switch on of the lights at 6.15pm in the Market Place.

The line-up includes:


12pm to 12:30pm - Louisa Hygate
12:45pm to 1:15pm - Elliott Lelaure
1:30pm to 1:50/2pm - Fiona Davies
2:30pm to 3pm - Ryan Upton
4:15pm to 4:30pm - Unleashed - runners up in the Search for a Star competition hosted by The Breeze.
5pm to 5:40pm - Woolton Hill's Emma Lawrence

5:50pm to 6:10pm Jenny Bracey – winner of the Search for a Star competition, hosted by The Breeze.
6:15pm Lights switch on
Late night Christmas shopping events will kick-start in Newbury on December 4.
Participating stores will open until 8pm on the three Thursday’s leading up to the big day, and road closures will be extended until this time in the town centre’s pedestrianised areas.
There will be no late night shopping event on Thursday, November 27 as was reported in the Newbury Weekly News’ Christmas Guide last week, sister paper to Newburytoday.
They will be held on December 4,11 and 18.
