Newbury civic and young persons awards ceremony tonight

The theme for the evening's discussions will be 'building on a year of celebration' in reference to the Queen's diamond jubilee and London 2012.
The event will feature a presentation of the past year's achievements and town councillors will voice their aspirations for the area, while members of the public will have an opportunity to share their ideas for improvements.
The event will also feature the town and young person's civic awards, sponsored by the Swift Group, which highlights voluntary work in the local community.
Last year's town winner was Mick Hutchins, who was picked for his dedication to two charities for disabled people - the West Berkshire Independent Living Network steering group and the West Berkshire Disability Alliance.
Martin Fisher received the young persons award for his voluntary work with UK lifeguards and fundraising swims for the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust.
The meeting will be held at 7pm in the Newbury town hall council chamber.
