Newbury daredevil prepares for birthday skydive

Antony Gudgeon, from Greenham, will hurtle towards the ground at 120 miles per hour on Sunday, and has even managed to persuade his partner, Andy Rouillard, to join him for the hair-raising experience on June 23.
The pair hope to raise hundreds of pounds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association’s West Berkshire branch, which supports the dad of Antony’s best friend who lives in Newbury.
Mr Gudgeon, an accounts supervisor for a Thatcham lighting maintenance company, said: “To celebrate/commiserate turning 30 on I wanted to do something I'd remember, something to make this birthday special.”
The couple will be doing tandem skydives with 45 seconds of freefall before parachuting back down to ground at Chiltern Park Aerodrome, in Oxfordshire.
The plucky pair are even paying for their para jump themselves as it is something they have always wanted to do.
