Newbury drama support group wow audience in festive play
Interakt users bring fairy tale kingdom to life
MEMBERS of a drama support group for adults with learning disabilities brought the curtain down on 2015 with their annual festive play.
Users of Newbury-based charity Interakt wowed the audience with their performance of a play, which they helped to write, set in a fairy-tale kingdom.
The show featured Interakt’s Friday dramatised storytelling group and the Thursday evening Inter-dance group, performing in front of friends and family at the Phoenix Centre in Newtown Road.
Session leader Jamie Cummings said it was an amazing performance.
He added: “I am so proud of all the participants, staff and their families’ hard work towards the performance and it is amazing to see the pride and feeling of accomplishment from our participants with abilities and disabilities.”
