Newbury firefighters called to Midgham/A4 collision





Crew manager of Red Watch at Newbury Fire Station, Martyn Doolin, said two pumps were called at 7.20am, to the A4 near to the Berkshire Arms pub.
“No-one was trapped. We made the car safe and checked on the motorcycle rider until the ambulance arrived,” said Mr Doolin.
Firefighters left the scene at 7.55am
Update 3.30pm
Thames Valley Police have confirmed a Ford Focus and Honda motorcycle were involved in the collision.
The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading.
No-one was arrested.
One ambulance was also at the scene.
