Newbury food festival will return to tantalise taste buds

THE Newbury Food Festival is to return to the town to tantalise taste buds later this month.
The popular free event, which was first introduced in the Market Square in June, will this time be held in Northbrook Street from 10am until 4pm on Saturday October 26 and Sunday October 27.
There will be a range of prizes being given away over the course of the weekend, including Food Hampers and £200 worth of High Street Shopping vouchers.
Organiser Jack Mcleod also revealed that they have already secured another three food festivals in Newbury for next year - in April, June and November.
Speaking to the Newbury Weekly News, he said: “We are hoping to make it bigger and better each time and make it part of the calendar. Around 2,000 people attended the last festival and we had really positive feedback.
“We are really excited to be bringing this event back to the town and in the future we would like to take over the whole of Newbury. There really is something for everyone”
The event will feature a variety of stalls packed with local produce and tempting cuisines, and include a wide range of music over the two days.
