Newbury girl's TikTok appears in ABBA livestream
A WOOLTON Hill bartender appeared in an ABBA livestream earlier this month, when her TikTok video was picked up by the Swedish band.
As ABBA gear up to release their ninth studio album after a 40 year break, Jasmine Field managed to make an appearance.
Miss Field was working a usual shift at The Rampant Cat pub in Woolton Hill when she saw her TikTok on Abba’s livestream launch video on Thursday, September 2.
She filmed the video on her TikTok page, dancing to ABBA’s song Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie, and received 50 views.
But after posting it on Instagram it caught the eye of the band's director.
“I put it up on Instagram, ABBA saw it and posted it on their story," she said.
“The director then asked, they messaged me on Instagram, 'could we possibly use it?'.
“I said yes sure, you’re being a bit vague can you give me a bit more information but yes sure.”
She added: “That evening within five hours they were like: It’s the real ABBA video.”
Miss Field, 26, said that she didn’t expect anything to come of her video, she posted it because she likes “having fun”.
But she “told everyone in the pub” when she saw her face on the real thing.
“I told everyone, we all sat together watching it. I was screaming,” she added.
Voyage is scheduled for release on November 5, 2021.
