Newbury home damaged after burglary
Burglars ransacked Russell Road property but stole nothing
BURGLARS damaged a house in Russell Road, Newbury, before making off without stealing any goods.
The homeowners were left shaken after the incident, which occurred sometime between Tuesday, March 1 and Friday, March 4.
Offenders entered the property and searched the house, moving items around and causing damage to the property.
Det Con Jason Watkins, from Newbury CID, said: “Although nothing was stolen from the property the occupants have been left very shaken by the fact that someone has entered their home and searched through their belongings.
“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area over the course of the week”.
