Newbury hotel set for revamp
Plans submitted to extend Newbury Manor Hotel
A NEWBURY hotel is set for a new lease of life after plans for a significant renovation were submitted to West Berkshire Council.
An application looking to build a two-storey rear extension to Newbury Manor Hotel, London Road, would see the addition of 12 additional bedrooms.
The plans also include the demolition of a conservatory and various other outbuildings, as part of an extensive renovation to the Grade II-listed building that has been used as a hotel since the 1970s.
There are also plans to carry to improve the surface of the hotel car park.
The application, submitted by Walsingham Planning on behalf of SCP Newbury Manor Ltd, states that the proposed extension and alterations would enhance the hotel’s customer offer and support the long-term use of the building.
