Newbury Library marks National Libraries Day

Sue Broughton will host a talk on family history from 11 to 11.30am, with chance afterwards to research family trees, from 11.30am to 1pm.
Then drop-in, between 1pm and 4pm, for tips on using the library’s new eMagazines service.
Children’s rhymetimes take place at 10am, 11.30am, 2.30pm and 3pm, plus storytimes at 10.30am, 11.30am, 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
Visitors can also help to create a photo wall, after telling why they love the library and having their photograph taken, along with Yarn Bombing - chance to add a piece to a wrap, to go around a library pillar, with tea and cakes, supported by Cub Scouts.
A National Libraries Day competition offers chance to win a Kindle Fire, or ipod Shuffle, after borrowing, or renewing any item today (Saturday) from Newbury Library in the wharf.
