Deliveroo reveals Newbury's eating habits after 2 years delivering meals around the town
Deliveroo, the on-demand food delivery service, is celebrating its second birthday in Newbury and has revealed that Friday at 8.30pm is the most popular time for Newbury locals to place an order.
We can’t get enough of roast dinners apparently, with the Carvery For One from Toby Carvery being the most popular dish in the town. In fact the British staple beats the Boneless Banquet from KFC into second place, with the Bacon Double Cheese XL meal coming in third.
The Subway large meal comes in fourth and the Doner Kebab from Botan Kebab and Pizza comes in fifth.
Since its launch in the town two years ago, more than 50 restaurants have signed up to the platform. Deliveroo has created work for more than 160 people, with the majority of these being the riders who deliver your food which is cooked fresh to order and delivered to your door within 30 minutes.
Deliveroo supports local businesses in Newbury, with 60 per cent of its restaurant partners being local independent restaurants, creating new revenue streams for home-grown culinary talent.
Regional Director for the UK Ben Lacey said: “Our whole team here at Deliveroo are delighted that our rapid growth in Newbury means that customers have more choice, restaurants are able to increase their revenue and riders have the opportunity to choose well-paid, flexible work.”
