Newbury man arrested for burglary

Police were called to an unoccupied property in Cold Ash after torch light was noticed in window

A NEWBURY man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary following an incident in Ashmore green Road in Cold Ash last night (Tuesday).

A member of the public called the police at around 8pm after they noticed a torch light in the hallway window of an unoccupied property.

Police attended and later arrested a Newbury man, in his fifties, who has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

He will return to Newbury police station on Friday, February 11.
