Newbury man charged with attempted robbery





Jake Marshall, aged 22, of Newtown Road, Newbury, was charged with attempted robbery in connection with an incident on August 11, when the victim, a 17-year-old boy, was punched and demands were made for his phone.
Mr Marshall was arrested on August 11 and charged on August 12.
He was also charged with criminal damage to property under £5000 in relation to an incident on 11 August and two counts of possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
This relates to an incident in Northbrook Street in Newbury on August 11.
Marshall appeared at Reading Magistrates Court on Wednesday (13/8) and was remanded in custody to appear at Reading Crown Court on September 1.
