Newbury man set to complete 200 mile challenge in seven days
The father-of-two of Rectory Close decided to take up seven challenges in seven days to raise money for Naomi House Hospice in Hampshire.
The 43-year-old completed the Clarendon Marathon on Sunday, the first 70 miles of the South Downs Way cycle on Monday, the final 30 miles of the South Downs Way cycle on Tuesday, a 20 mile canoe from Shillingford to Reading on Wednesday, run from Wallingford to Newbury on Thursday, swam 2.8 miles from Bournemouth to Boscombe yesterday and is due to run 30 miles through Hampshire today (Saturday).
Incredibly this is not the first time Mr Lee has undertaken a series of gruelling tasks; last year he raised more than £1,500 for charity after completing six ultramarathons in a week.
“Running has always been a hobby of mine but I thought I would make it interesting this year and do something I’m not comfortable doing like swimming and canoeing.
“It’s all part of the adventure,” Mr Lee added.
