Nominations open for Newbury MP's 'Pub of the Year' competition

Newbury MP Laura Farris is welcoming nominations from the public for her own 'Pub of the Year' competition, celebrating the best venues in her constituency.

The competition was announced today via Mrs Farris MP's website.

People can submit entries in a number of categories, including 'Best Food & Drink', 'Best Family Pub', 'Best Garden', 'Best Dog-Friendly Pub' and 'Best All-Rounder'.

The only criteria for nomination is that the pubs are located within Newbury's constituency boundaries.

After a nomination period in August, the results of the competition will be announced in September.

Winning pubs will be given a certificate.
