Newbury named as one of the UK’s most welcoming places by Booking.com




Newbury has been named as one of most welcoming places in the UK.

In a new study carried out by Booking.com, Newbury has been included in the top 20 for consistently providing outstanding hospitality.

The list was compiled by extracting data from more than 240 million verified reviews by Booking.com travellers.

Kirkwall, the largest town in Orkney in Scotland, was named as the most welcoming place in the UK, with Newcastle and Newry, both in County Down in Northern Ireland, coming in second and third respectively.

Newbury was placed at a respectable 13th position on the list, behind notable towns such as Ballycastle, Frome and Glastonbury.

The West Berkshire town came above Dunfermline, Bushmills, Fort William and Stirling among others.
