Newbury road to be closed for more than a week

A key Newbury road will be closed during the day for more than a week from Monday.

Andover Road will be closed from St John's roundabout to Monks Lane from August 1 to 10, between 9.30am and 7pm.

The closure is to allow Volker Highways to carry out resurfacing the carriageway on behalf of West Berkshire Council.

A diversion is via the Burger King roundabout, up the A339 and then along Monks Lane.
