Newbury Rotary Club walk today (Sunday)

Up to 200 walkers from various charities expected to take part in the walk from Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre

NEWBURY Rotary Club is hosting a charity walk at the Thatcham Discovery Centre today (Sunday).

The walks will start from 12pm at the centre and will encompass a six mile route to Greenham common and the canal and back to the centre.

All walkers should be back at the centre by 4.30pm.

Organiser Will Job said: “We are doing it to help facilitate other clubs to raise funds.

“Last year about 150 walkers took part and we are expecting between 100 and 200 walkers again this year.

“There is no need to book in advance, just turn up at the Discovery Centre.”
