Newbury school pupils at St Joseph's got talent!

The competition, St Joseph’s Got Talent, saw pupils aged from four to 11 years from the Newport Road school competing for talent trophies in front of four judges.
Eleven-year-old Ella Townsend (pictured second from left) won the competition after performing a jazz trumpet solo.
Second place was scooped by comedians, eight-year-old Joe Mitchell and seven-year-old Scott Wilkinson.
Joint third position was taken by brother and sister team Oliver and Kirstin Butler, aged six and four, who performed the story of The Hungry Caterpiller, and martial arts trio Abigail Eade, aged 11, and Yasmin and George Trigwell, aged seven.
Headteacher Alison Webster said: “Everyone who took part did an amazing job considering it was the first time many of them had been on a big stage in front of a live audience. It was a wonderful opportunity and I’m very proud of them all.”
The judging panel included Stuart Honey of Newbury Nomads, dance teacher, Lisa Bryant, and Karen Claxton and Tim Kuhles of West Berkshire Council’s education team.
